We elaborated a list of the 10 best restaurants in our country. The ten selected are located in four different cities and towns: Zapallar, Valparaiso, Santiago and Puerto Varas. There are many different styles. There are familiar restaurants, innovative restaurants, traditional, Peruvian, Italian, Indian and Chilean restaurants among others.

1.- Astrid y Gastón
Located in Santiago (District of Providencia) is considerate in many cuisine guides (included the Culinary 2009) as the best restaurant in Chile. It is part of a restaurants chain that is actually working in Bogota, Caracas, Lima Madrid, Panamá, Quito and, of course, Santiago.

2.- Europeo
Considered by Wiken magazine the best restaurant in 2004 it is located in Alonso de Córdoba. Their best feature is their European style and their homemade products such as ice-cream and pastas.
3.- Puerto Fuy.
This is a restaurant which speciality is seafood. Named after a small town in the Lake Distric at the south of Chile it has (in the opinion of well known chefs) the best seafood in Santia

4.- Pasta e Vino.
Located in Valparaiso (in the Cerro Concepción) is a very small restaurant (for no more than 20 people) but is always full and if you want to go you must make reservations. As the name says its specialty is Pasta.

5.- Chiringuito.
Located in Zapallar (Valparaiso District) is known for its wonderful seafood and for a lovely sight of the sea and the bay. Originally created from a fisherman’s boat it has grown a lot and it one of the best seafood spots in the Chilean coast.
6.- Le Due Torri.
It has 2 restaurants in Santiago. One is in San Antonio (that has more than 50 years) and is in El Golf (Isidora Goyenechea street) neighborhood. It has great Italian food and their best dishes are the antipasto and the risotto.
7.- Ibis.
This is the restaurant that work southern in our list. Is located in Puerto Varas (Lakes District). It has a great view of the Llanquihue Lake and the Osorno volcano. It has more than 30 years and it is known for its wonderful seafood among other great dishes.
8.- Sakura Fusión.
Known for its modern style and their great Japanese food this restaurant has gained the position as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Chile. It mixes a traditional oriental food with a modern way of preparing it.
9.- Raúl Correa y Familia.
One of the best restaurants if you want to have chilean food. Owned by de Correa family that created well known restaurants as Ibis (from Puerto Varas) (number 7 ranked) and Ibis de Puerto Varas (in Santiago) its located in a beautiful old chilean house and the restaurant is attended by the whole family. One of the best spots for chilean food.

The best place for Indian food in Chile. The chef is actually from India and their dishes are wonderful. And above other are their curries and their recipes “al tandoor”
